This system is designed for unwinding sheet metal coils in combination with a sheet metal processing machine.
The speed is controlled either by a sensor or loop control system, ensuring that the strip speed is adjusted precisely and dynamically to match the production speed. A pneumatically operated hold-down arm enables the coils to be opened safely.
The sheet metal can then be unwound in either direction of rotation and fed into the downstream sheet metal processing machine.
